The Currently Reading Tag

Yo nerds! Want a little story? Sure you do. Well here it is.

Me: “I’d love it if more people tagged me into things. I’m a rather vain individual and it would validate me in the book blogging community.”
Also me: Is tagged by people to take part in fun book related posts.
Also also me: Forgets to do the posts.
Also also also me: Is a bit shit at things, but is forever grateful for the inclusion.

Good story. Best story. Well, I was tagged by Beth and Sarah to do the Currently Reading Tag, and because it’s absolutely definitely without question that something is done better late than never #Don’t@Me and that all good things come to those who wait, I am just being fashionably late with completing this one. Be sure to go and check out the Beth’s and the Sarah’s answers. Thank you for tagging me, ladies. You are better than chips!

Hey ho! Let’s go!

How Many Books Do You Usually Read At Once?
Normally just 2 or 53. I usually have a novel on the go, and also read short stories and graphic novels/comics at the same time. Well, not at the exact same time. I don’t sit there with a novel in one hand and a comic in the other. That’d be weird, haha! I’m not weird, you’re weird!

I have been known to read a novel at the same time as listening to a different audiobook. Crazy right?! How do I do it?! Is it witchcraft?! Yes.

Do You Ever Switch Bookmarks While You’re Partway Through a Book?
I don’t really read physical books anymore. Almost everything I read is exclusively digital; Kindle and Comixology. And you don’t need a bookmark with those. What a time to be alive.

Remember that time my niece told me that she doesn’t use bookmarks and said, “I just remember what page I’m on.” That blew my mind it did. I still haven’t got over that. I think it’s the weirdest thing I’ve ever heard. No human can do that. Only reptilians. I used to like my niece but now I just have a deep distrust of her.

Where Do You Keep The Book(s) You Are Currently Reading?
In my heart.

What Time of Day Do You Spend The Most Time Reading?
8.37 – 8.39pm.

How Long Do You Typically Read in One Sitting?
Anywhere from 6’1” to 6’3”. It depends on the time of day and how long I’ve been awake.

Do You Read Hardbacks With The Dusk Jacket On or Off?
I keep my dust jacket on. It took me forever to make a jacket out of dust and I sure do love it. It stops me from getting cold, and keeps the other dust off me.

What Position Do You Mainly Use To Read?
Usually closed fourth position, with the heel of each foot overlapping the toe of the other foot. Transitioning to second or reverse cowgirl.

Do You Take The Book You Are Currently Reading Everywhere You Go?
Wherever I go, that’s my library. That’s how that song goes.

How Often Do You Update Your Goodreads Progress On The Book You’re Currently Reading?
With the change of the wind.

I Tag the Usual Crew

Look at that. We totes did it. We completed the tag. Now you know everything you need to know about my currently reading situation. Anyway, I’m off to switch bookmarks. Until next time, Peace and Love!

  1. Lol Reverse cowgirl, I love it!!! I loved your answers, they were hilarious. Also, I used to read without a bookmark and try and remember the page I was on. I always forgot and I spent more time trying to find where I was at then actually reading haha.

  2. Reverse cowgirl is overrated!! 😀

I enjoyed reading this, thank you! And I agree, you should keep a very good eye on your niece – something’s not right there and we all know that the reptilians are among us…
Although.. if she’s one what does that make you…… ….?

    1. Lol, sex positions are not really my area of expertise! I wouldn’t know. XD

I don’t know why you would ever quesILLUMINATItion my validity as an average human being. I’m just a normal, remarkable human going about his business. Nothing suspicious here. Nothing to see. *adds you to… the list*

      1. Damn it. I didn’t even mean to make that a wrestling reference. If I had thought about it, I would have done it better!

Sometimes wrestling vocab and references slip in to my everyday speech. I once told someone they were ‘turning heel’ and they just looked at me blank. It took me a few minutes to realise that non-wrestling fans have no idea what that means! XD

      2. Haha, sorry! I jump on everything that only slightly looks like it could be a wrestling reference!

LOL, wrestle-talk is just the best, isn’t it? I try to NOT use it when I write reviews, but sometimes stuff like that pops up in my head as well. Imagine LotR in wrestle-talk.

‘Frodo had to be carried by Sam through all of their matches, I don’t know why he even got a push, he’s so green! And why did Gandalf had to job for him?? He was such a great face! They buried him so bad, they had to repackage him! Also, Sauron is a bad heel, he only turns up once a year and doesn’t even work a whole match, they should definitely fire him. And let’s not even start talking about the women’s division!’

..I might be thinking about it too much^^

  3. Haha Great answers! 😛 And I can totally see why you would now write your niece off as Reptilian. I would never be able to just remember what page number I’m on like that.
And thank you so much for the tag! 😀 I, too, am horrible about remembering to do these tags sometimes but it does look like quite a bit of fun and I do appreciate it! ❤

  4. That reverse cowgirl answer though… I am deceased.

You must have a distrust of me too in that case because I also just remember the page number instead of using a bookmark! It’s seriously easier than it sounds 😛

Absolutely loving your Halloween aesthetic at the moment!

  5. *drop mic* Stark! I do enjoy reading people’s answers as I get to know them this way but your answers are just the best moment of blog hopping! What a laugh 🙂 Thank you 🙂
